Karl Valentine-Rothenberg, founder and lead writer
My twenty-something years in the technical environment has helped me to pay the bills. Riding off-and-on since I was a kid has helped me to escape the rest of the world. I’ve ridden many bikes and have owned a few. I currently ride a 2008 Triumph Rocket III. My purpose in creating twistthegrip.com is to combine my passion for motorcycling with my passion for writing. As the world of motorcycling evolves, I intend to be right there with it and am happy to share my thoughts, impressions, opinions, and ideas with you.
All views expressed on twistthegrip.com are mine and mine alone and do not reflect those of any other person or organization. If you have an item of interest that you’d like me to write about feel free to let me know by emailing me at karl@twistthegrip.com or just leave a comment here. I’ll add it to my list of future articles.

Hi – found you on twitter – followed a link to this site, and it’s very nice. I was hoping that maybe you could do a review on my site, http://www.RideBellChain.com I want to make sure other SCRC members know about it – giving a ridebell to another biker is the coolest gesture, and my site makes it easy and fun to do…not to mention that if you send someone a bell, you’ll get to pick one out from the 80+ bells I have and someone will buy it for you!
Also – if you would like to trade links, please let me know and I’ll be happy to tell folks about your blog, etc.
Thanks, and ride safe!

SCRC #456 (down in Sunny Florida) – hope to see you at Daytona bike week!
Hey one eye! This is Trip! Up in Hesperia, SCRC#392.
Feel free to share your comments and promote Twist The Grip on my ABATE forum. I figure the more exposure the better! I’d like to see every rider involved with ABATE. Unfortunately there are those who push things to the limits and abuse the laws but, if it weren’t for ABATE we wouldn’t be able to “lane share” split traffic or have ape hangars.
We want to educate riders as well as cagers the importance of safety and respect on the road.

Nice blog Karl. I used to be in the SCRC in 2004, but only briefly, back when they had a chapter in Temecula. Today, I ride with the Heatwave RC. Feel free to log into our site at heatwaverc.com and post a hello on our forum. Since we’re both in the IE, may run into each other one day. I also run the Temecula Motorcycle Meetup on meetup.com.

Hey Steve,
Thanks for visiting. I’ve actually moved to Long Beach but still ride with SCRC Mt Baldy. I get out to Temecula once or twice each month though. I have family out there. Next time I take the bike I’ll hit you up.
Cheers,
karl
