I have to say, this was by far and away, THE largest motorcycling event in which I have ever taken part! The eleventh annual West Coast Thunder! I was both humbled and honored to have been involved in such an emotionally charged experience. Read more…

As some of you may know, I ride a 2008 Rocket III Standard. By the specs this bike packs 147 foot pounds of torque and 140 BHP from the stock 2300cc engine. That translates to OH MY GOD fast!
Some owners of this big ole beast have actually taken it to an entirely new level by adding after-market/performance pipes, opening up the secondaries, and other mods that pump up the output to what some can only describe as insane.

The New R3 Roadster
So what has Triumph done? The same thing. Introducing the new Rocket III Roadster. Some call it a streetfighter version. Either way it’s incredible and said to pack 167 foot pounds of torque, has a new modified exhaust, better throuput with the intake, modified suspension, new lower and farther back placement of the footpegs, a new seat for the instrunentation, handlebars etc.
One word… WOW!
Now, I’m not ready to rush out and trade mine in. I like the cruiser style of my bike. But that exhaust. I have been itching for a set of 3-to-2 pipes where I’d have a single pipe on either side of the bike. I like the look. And these are awesome! So I wonder if Triumph will be making this available for my bike. I’d certainly invest in them if they did and at a reasonable proce.

One word; WOW!

- The New Victory Crosscountry
Victory has done it again. You thought their Vision was an awesome bike. Wait till you see their two new bikes the Cross Country and the Crossroads. These are both new bikes that in my humble opinion, are sure to sweep the bagger market and may even overtake the Vision itself.
Both sport the Freedom 106 cubic V-Twin engine, with 92 horse power and 109 ft. pounds of torque and 6-speed gear box. Both Sport best in class storage and load capacity. And both are just plain beautiful!

The new Victory Crossroads
The Cross country, is their full bagger with fill fairing, built in stereo, cruise control and huge 25 gallon quick detach hard saddlebags. The Crossroads is the little brother with windscreen and the same hard bags.
Both these bikes are something to behold. If you like cruiser/bagger bikes you simply owe it to yourself to check these out. My only complaint is i wasn’t able to road test either. Then again, no one was. But this hasn’t stopped them from selling.

Paul Contreras and his '07
Paul is an old friend and fellow motorcycle enthusiast. In fact, it was Paul who introduced me to the Triumph Brand with his 2007 Bonneville Black. So when I decided to start featuring those who modify their bikes, I thought; who better to kick that off than Paul and his ride?
Paul rides his Bonnie everyday, “rain or shine.” And his work affords him plenty of opportunity to visit many parts of Southern California.
When I asked him why the Triumph? He said with a smile, “All my friends kept telling me to get a Harley. They’re nice to look at but I didn’t want to get sucked into that.” Read more…

Thanks to my friends at Southern California Triumph, I had an opportunity to take Triumph’s new cruiser, the 2010 Thunderbird out for a little test run. And I have to say that I’m glad I did. Admitting freely that I happen to be a big fan of the Triumph brand, I promise to keep this write-up as unbiased as I possibly can. Read more…

When I decided it was time to shop for another bike, I knew I’d be looking to a

2008 Triumph Rocket III
big cruiser. And initially my eyes were fixed on the Harley Davidson Heritage Soft tail.
But, a year before, while out on my VT1100 riding through Down Town Long Beach, I was passed (in the blink of an eye) by what I would later learn was Triumph’s big beast, the Rocket III.
