Great post. My problem is that I'm not a mechanically inclined and I'm looking at this shark mirror speaker and amp system and can't figure out where to even start. Can anyone take a look at this and help me with some step by step, since they don't send with a manual. Very confused. What do I do with that wire with the fuse? Am I supposed to cut it? Please help.

Karl, thanks for the thoughts, and thanks for participating in the ride. I'm not a biker, but I am a former airman and former USAF officer with a total of 16½ years of service. My wife and I have had season tickets to the Texas Longhorn football games for 20 years, and every time they play the National Anthem it's hard for me to sing all the way through. One game every year is Veteran's Recognition Day, and they ask all active duty members and veterans to stand -- also difficult to do, for reasons I won't say here, but I will say that I'm proud of my service and proud of my country. Your pride shows through too.

Hi fellow 'Ride to the Flags' participant,

Well written account of a great, yet emotional, day at point Mugu and Pepperdine, but no worries, I too had to fight back a tear or two during the event. All the folks along the road, with cameras and video equipment, others with hands in the air cheering us on. But especially when the guest speaker at Pepperdine brough her 3 daughters up in front of everyone, that was tough. And I, with two daughters of my own, had a hard time keeping my composure. A great day with great people, where Americans and the rest of the world alike, showed that the human spirit can be hurt and bent, but never broken. Tks for adding my 1949 nimbus, the red one, to your photo gallery. Very nice, tks.

God bless America!
